Ariel began playing chromatic harmonica at the age of 7, and has trained with top musicians in Israel including Dror Adler, Anat Fort, Yaaki Levy, and Yuval Cohen. After moving to New York, Ariel studied with the likes of Aaron Parks, Reggie Workman, Jane Ira Bloom, Anat Cohen, Jon Cowherd, Tony Malaby, and Kirk Nurock.
Over the years she recorded and performed with some of the top musicians around New York and Israel including William Parker, Andrew Cyrille, Steve Swell, Achinoam Noa Nini, Miki Gavrielov, Davis D’aor, Yoni Rechter, and as a solo performer with The Jerusalem Orchestra East and West.
Working to extend the harmonica’s boundaries by creating original music, Ariel Bart is bringing a fresh sound to Jazz. 
In the album, “In Between”, Ariel presents a unique approach to the harmonica and her composed melodies which are inspired by the European jazz tradition and the middle-eastern world.
The interplay with the band highlights the unique feelings evoked by a lead harmonica - always longing with a touch of sadness but punctuated with moments of pure joy.
